Wiley Author Guidelines

All manuscripts submitted should follow Wiley's author guidelines. The title should describe the research. Avoid using trade names or other non-scientific terminology. Video abstracts, peer-reviewed articles and manuscripts are acceptable. Funding sources should be listed in the acknowledgements. If the article has multiple authors, the first two must agree on the final version. All authors must have contributed substantially to the manuscript. Final approval must be given by all authors. Wiley has provided the authorship criteria on its website.

An article title should contain a short description about the research.

Ten to twelve words is the traditional recommendation for an article title. The recommendation is helpful, but the evidence isn't strong enough to support it. Clarivate Analytics examined 4,000 articles containing titles within eight research areas to determine what the average length of a title was. The average title length was 12.3, close to the 10-to-12-word recommendation. These are examples of suitable title lengths. These tips will help you ensure that your title length is appropriate for your research.

When composing an article title, avoid using words and phrases that do not relate to the content of the article. A short title should still get to the core of the article, while a longer one should not be so vague as to be confusing to readers. The title should be catchy, grab the attention of readers and contain the most important keywords. Here are some tips to write a great article title:

Include interesting details in your draft. You should include enough detail to grab readers' attention. Your draft title should be interesting. The conclusion should be a cliffhanger. If you use a long title, people will be confused because they might not understand how the conclusion is related to the main idea. A shorter title will make it easier to create a new title for your article.

Trade names shouldn't be used

Here are some tips to avoid being accused of plagiarism. Avoid using the name of the company, product, or brand in the title if it's already trademarked. You must also avoid using the company's logo or trade name. Wiley style guidelines are also available. These guidelines can help you avoid plagiarism and make your book look more professional.

If your manuscript is submitted as an in-house submission you must ensure that you have received the appropriate ethical approvals. Wiley requires authors to declare any and all potential conflicts of interest prior to submission, and the review process should be confidential. Wiley policies and procedures can help to avoid plagiarism. You can find more information about the journal's peer review process here.

Wiley journals and books require authors to use AMA reference styles. Wiley employs AMA reference style with a corresponding author clause. You must give permission to reproduce the material and credit. If the funding source is applicable, it should be indicated. Wiley's copyright policies can be found here. If you are an author of a Wiley book, please note that you must provide credit to all authors.

Articles should be peer-reviewed

Authors must cite all sources when submitting manuscripts to Wiley-VCH. Authors must cite all sources with page numbers. References should be fair, informative, but not overly detailed. Articles should also cite relevant publications, databases, websites, and computer programs. Wiley-VCH author guides provide detailed instructions on how to cite Wiley-VCH articles. Once submitted, authors must double-check the reference list.

The Wiley-VCH system provides copyrighted material, including photographs and images. Authors must ensure that images used in articles do not violate copyright. The journal offers a copyright clearinghouse to ensure this does not occur. Wiley-VCH has a DOI for articles published. Wiley-VCH offers several options for authors when it comes to copyright issues.

Wiley has a strict policy on publishing ethics. The journal requires authors to provide their ORCID identification if they contribute to the manuscript. This only takes a few minutes. Wiley also requires authors submit a contribution roles taxonomy. The author must ensure that all authors consent to the changes. Wiley's production department does not require authors submit a consent form.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should follow the instructions and guidelines set forth by Wiley. They must be written in American English. To submit, authors should use the Editorial Manager online submission service, available from the "Submit a Manuscript" tab of the journal's website. Authors should have two files. The main manuscript should be typed in single space. Any graphics, tables, captions or other information should be included within it.

Acceptable video abstracts

Authors should follow the same guidelines when producing video abstracts as with written manuscripts. The video must include the main paper's contents, including results and clinical implications. Authors have the option of using a professional video production company like Research Square or creating their own video. Video abstracts are typically produced after the original manuscript is accepted. The video production company will charge a fee if the work is commercially sponsored or uses a licensed video production program.

Authors may submit video abstracts in Journal of Arthritis and Rheumatology and Arthritis Care & Research. Videos should not last more than five minutes and should be submitted during the manuscript review process. Video abstracts should use the "Video Abstract” file type when uploading. Once the video abstract has been submitted, the author is contacted to discuss how the video can be submitted to the journal.

Once an abstract has been accepted, the production team will reach out to the author by email to discuss the process. Authors should review the accepted article and sign the publication license. The proof must be returned to the author. Once an Accepted Article has been published, it is protected under a general Copyright Statement. The author must properly credit any third-party works they have used in their video. Video abstracts must be accompanied by text.

Copyright license agreement required

Using Wiley author guidelines will require you to sign a Copyright license agreement. The agreement allows you to reproduce part or all of the article in any format. You don't have to pay reciprocal fees. The Wiley author guidelines also state that you must obtain a copyright license if you plan to publish your work in Wiley journals. Here are the guidelines to follow:

Before you begin, make sure to read the Wiley author guidelines. These guidelines explain how the author can re-use his or her article. Before your work can be submitted to Wiley journals you will need to sign an agreement for copyright. Wiley will give you clear terms regarding copyright licensing that govern your work's use in its publications. These guidelines are found on Wiley's website. You can access Wiley author guides by visiting the publisher's web site.

Next, make sure to check the Wiley Open Access Program. OnlineOpen gives authors the option to publish their articles openly in the Wiley Online Library or on one of the PMC mirror sites. Once your article has been accepted, you can post the accepted version on your institutional repository. Wiley also gives authors the right to use their article for non-commercial purposes. The agreement does however not guarantee publication.

One journal with high volumes in biomarker papers is JCMM. These papers are often very brief and do not prove any link between miRNAs/pathology. Some papers are even classified as biomarkers when their data are not related to disease. These papers cannot be considered for publication without a preliminary inquiry into their relevance.
